We’ve reached the end of this legislative struggle for health care reform though there will be more as we work in future years to strengthen what we achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n

But this year we still need to work to preserve our victory, which is under attack all over our state. We need to make the case, in every Congressional district in the Commonwealth, that health care reform will benefit us.<\/p>\n

You can make a huge contribution to this effort by helping us find Pennsylvanians who will benefit from the provisions of the health care reform legislation that go into effect this year.<\/p>\n

We have all the statistics that show how much we will benefit. However, what really convinces our fellow citizens is people who can stand up and say, “This legislation is already helping me.”<\/p>\n

So please help us find<\/p>\n

\u2022 Young adults under 26 who will be able to stay on their parents’ health insurance<\/p>\n

\u2022 Small businesses with 25 or fewer employees making an average of $50,000 who will be eligible for tax credits up to 35% of health insurance premiums.<\/p>\n

\u2022 People with preexisting conditions who will be able to secure subsidized health insurance in a high risk insurance pool later this year.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Seniors who are in the donut hole and will receive a $250 credit towards the cost of pharmaceuticals<\/p>\n

\u2022 Children with pre-existing conditions who will receive health insurance coverage previously denied them.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Early retirees who will get a break on health insurance premiums.<\/p>\n

We know that there are thousands of people in Pennsylvania in each of these categories. But they are hard to find. And we need to find them in every Congressional District in the state.<\/p>\n

So please, ask you friends, neighbors, and family members. Talk to your co-workers. Help us find people willing to step up and say, “Health care reform is already working for me.”<\/p>\n
